Canoeing And Kayaking Basics

The Basics Of Canoeing And Kayaking

A lot of people believe that canoeing and kayaking are the same thing, but there are many differences between them that make them similar but not the same. Canoeing and kayaking both involve the water, both can be done with one person, and both involve paddling a boat under human power. That is basically where the similarities end, however, and there is a whole lot different between them that could be focused on to bring attention to both entities on their own. Both deserve attention as being very exciting and interesting sports and both are quite adventurous.

Canoeing and kayaking also take their cues from differences in the paddles. The canoe uses, typically, a one-sided paddle where as the kayak uses a two bladed paddle. The motion of the rowing for each is different because of this. The canoe rower simple paddles the water in one motion, repeatedly. The kayaker typically continues the motion in a circle with both ends of the paddle getting
