When kayaking it is important to realize that the temperatures you experience
will be cool. Winds traveling over large bodies of water are much cooler than

clothing. Water temperatures of around 40 degrees F are typical for lakes
and spring runoff rivers. This kind of temperature can drastically change your
strength and mobility after just a few minutes of swimming, so expect the
unexpected!
